letter from classmate

I received a letter from a classmate that  is now in prison and he said he needs something that only I can give him. I don't know what to do, should i give it to him or should I not write him back. He said that he wants some new shoes. I don't know how to give them to him because there is security. So what should I do? I might give them to him but it's gonna be hard. I have something to think about ,so I shall be back with my answer. Thank you for reading this talk to you later bye.
